Lavada Campbell
Flamboyant is the only word to describe the first glimpse we got of Lavada Campbell. She was not to be missed with her glowing white nails, silver hair, sparkly eyes and smile. Whether she was line dancing with husband Lendell or greeting people at her church, her energy and warmth were palpable. She said earnestly, “Even at 82, I still got things I want to do” and she continued to stay engaged in her community and various activities close to the end of her life despite health challenges. Her attitude was positive. Going through treatment for cancer the first time she said, "this is another growth spurt in my life." When the cancer re-occurred her body gave out but she maintained her positive spirit to the end. |
